Patience

Written by “Jahnavi”

To say patience is a virtue is an understatement. It’s really more of a skill—one that can be learned and needs constant nurturing.

Patience is the state of being that occurs between experience and reaction. Whether you’re trying to be patient with yourself, others, or life, it seems to always involve the experience of dealing with delays or obstacles.

By cultivating a practice of patience, you’re able to let go of things outside your control and live with less stress, anxiety, and frustration.

It’s not an easy practice, but here are a few perspectives on how to cultivate patience to open up new possibilities.

Four Reasons to Cultivate Patience

1. Patience people enjoy better mental health

2. Patience people are better friends and neighbors.

3. Patience helps us achieve our goals

 4. Patience is linked to good health.

Three ways to cultivate patience

• Reframe the situation

• Practice mindfulness

• Practice gratitude

Most of all learn to be patient with yourself. You are not perfect and you will make mistakes along the way. But understand that you are on the right track and headed in the right direction, however many mistakes and setbacks you may encounter on the way. And remember; don’t just look forward to reaching the destination. Enjoy the journey too.

You are all you can be. Go on and be it.

Thank you
